Welcome to the Library Catalogue
You can search the Library Catalogue by simply entering a 'find' value and pressing 'Enter' or clicking the 'Search' button.
Alternatively select 'Browse' and then one of the options in the drop-down menu.
e.g. 'By Subject' to list all the subjects against which Catalogue items have been indexed.
Click on a subject to view the related items.
Once you have located an individual title, click on it and you will see a highlighted heading 'Label Text'. This gives you the classification number of the item followed by the first three letters of the author's name.
The library is organised according to the Dewey Decimal classification system with the lowest numbers starting from the left, so you can locate the items on the shelves by following the numerical order i.e. books with an 020 classification would be near the start of the sequence and numbers build up, so 940.54 precedes 940.5409 etc. The author adjuncts are sorted alphabetically. You can search the Catalogue without logging in, but will need to log in to borrow or return books (click on 'My Library', which will only appear when you are logged in).
If you borrow a book, please remember to sign it out in the Loans Book
If you require any help please contact the Library.
Please note you do not need to log in to use the catalogue
